How To Play


 1.   Each player will be matched with another player each week.  You will receive points for each correct game based on the point system noted below in Scoring Rules.

2.  The player with the most points will win that game. 

3.  If by the end of the last game you are tied, the Tie Breaker Rules listed will apply. 

4.  The object of the game is to achieve the best win/loss record in your division just like the NFL to make the Playoffs. 

5.  Other Playoff positions will be available based on record, most correct, and most points.

6.   Do your research. Use what ever source you want to use and pick a winner for every game for the week. 

7.  This will be the case for each week of the regular NFL football season. 

8.  I will use the NFL Lock Website as the official latest Line. This is only used to set the points available for a correct pick. See Scoring Rules.

9.   You will need to pick a combined score for the last game of the week (the MNF game). 

10.  The combined score is the total amount of points you think the teams will score and is used as a tie breaker. See Tie Breaker Rules. 

11.   Picks must be submitted by 8pm on Friday. Thursday games must be entered by 8pm Thursday. 

12.  If you are late, penalties will apply. See Penalties. 


League Rules

1.  All picks must be turned in by 8pm on Friday night. If there are Thursday games, those picks must be in by 8pm Thursday. 

2.  If you are late, see Penalties. 

3.  If you are late for the Thursday Night Game, you will not receive credit for that game.

4.   You can always provide default picks and make changes prior to the deadline. 

5.  On Thanksgiving Day, all picks must be in by 12 noon. If you miss the Thursday deadline, you still can turn in your picks by the Friday deadline. However, you will not receive any credit for any Thursday games.
 
6.  Picks must be submitted using the "Submit Picks" link on the home page. 
 
7.   If you have any questions or concerns about your score, record, or any other issue, call me as soon as possible.  I will do my best to justify, clarify, and correct the issue as soon as possible.  

Scoring Rules

Points for a correct pick is as follows:

  • Correct pick 3 points
  • Correct pick is an underdog +2
  • Correct pick is a visiting team +1
  • You will get 3, 4, 5, or 6 points for a correct pick 

The player with the most correct picks for the week will win $25. If you get all of the picks right, you will win $75. If you are tied for most correct picks, the tie breaker rule will apply.



Tie Breaker Rules

In the event of a tie in a weekly game during a regular NFL season, the following tie breaker rules will apply.

  • Player with most correct
  • The player closest to the combined score of the last game of the week.
  • The player that is closest without going over the combined score of the last game of the week.
  • In the event of a tie after the above rules, it will be an official tie.
  • If the tie involves the most correct for the week, $$ credit will be divided.


Penalties
  • If you are late submitting a Thursday night game, no penalty applies.However, you will not receive credit for that game.
  • If picks are not submitted by 7pm Friday, a penalty of -1 game and -3 points will apply.
  • If picks are not submitted by 7pm on Saturday, default picks (Commissioner's picks) will be entered for the value of competition.No free ride for the opponent.
  •  Late submissions will also alter chances for playoff spots. Example: If a player is tied with another player for a playoff spot, the player with penalties will be bumped. 
  • If Commissioner's picks are used, you will not receive credit for any game that week.
